Coronavirus (COVID-19) support is available to businesses

The Impact of Covid-19 on the economy and subsequently individuals and families cannot be overstated. Government is providing various support to help as much business as possible to survive or recover from this. Some of those supports are listed below:

  • Business support
  • Loans, tax relief and cash grants are available
  • Employers might be eligible for financial support to pay wages
  • Self-employed people might be eligible for a taxable grant covering 80% of trading profits

Claim for wages through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme: Claim for some of your employee’s wages if you have put them on furlough or flexible furlough because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Check if you’re eligible for a coronavirus Restart Grant: The Restart Grant scheme supports businesses in the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors with a one-off grant, to reopen safely as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
